Planning Your Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Appointment
We understand that undergoing surgery in a foreign country can be very stressful and challenging due to language barriers, the differences in the medical system and culture. This is especially true for Dr Knoll’s international patients living out of town or abroad traveling to Frankfurt, to have their surgery performed. About 50% of Dr Knoll’s patients who are seeking aesthetic plastic surgery are English speaking. Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, and the Rhine-Main area became home for many people from abroad either working or living in Germany. Dr Bianca Knoll and her team are also very familiar with specific needs being associated with the U.S. Military / Government, and NATO and have been serving this community since her return to Germany in 2008. Dr Bianca Knoll has an international mix of patients with different aesthetic, ethnical and medical concerns.
Most patients combine their initial visit with Dr Knoll with a business or leisure trip to have an in person consultation. Some out of town patients prefer an initial online consultation since it can be impractical to travel to Frankfurt for an initial consultation. Though a virtual consultation starts the conversation, it does have it’s limitations and does not replace the need to be seen in person for a traditional consultation to finalize plans for a procedure. We will provide you with as much as possible information pertaining to surgery, pre-operative testing requirements, post-operative expectations, and the cost associated with your individualized surgery plan.
The office of Dr Bianca Knoll is conveniently located in the center of Frankfurt, only 20min from the Frankfurt Airport, 5 min from the main station, and easy to reach from the highway. We are happy to assist you with your travel plans. We can share with you several hotels in the area for your accommodations while in Frankfurt. Depending on the procedure that will be performed we will give you a estimate for your length of stay. All patients undergoing a procedure will need to plan to travel with a family member or friend who will be able to assist you after surgery.

Dr Knoll will be happy to provide you with the necessary evaluations and letters, that you may require for your home country if you live outside from Germany.
Your Arrival in Frankfurt In-Person Consultation with Dr Knoll
When traveling to Frankfurt, you should allow yourself enough time to meet with Dr. Knoll and the anesthesia team. This means you should arrive a few days before your surgery will take place. Dr Knoll will meet you in her office, where you will complete preoperative documents and undergo any necessary tests and examinations prior to the procedure. At this stage, all surgical plans and goals have already been discussed, and pictures and medical history has been exchanged. Dr. Knoll will spend as much time as needed in order to make sure that the patient is fully informed and comfortable with the proposed surgical plan.
After Your Surgery with Dr Bianca Knoll
After surgery, Dr Knoll will see her patients the following day either in the hospital, or in her office. Follow-up appointments are scheduled depending on your individual case and surgery performed. Patients from abroad should plan to stay a few days in or nearby Frankfurt, to insure proper postoperative care and wound healing before leaving. Further follow up appointments will be arranged to guide your wound healing process and activity level. Out of sight does not mean you will be out of our minds. Dr Knoll and her team will be there for you even when you are back in your home country.
