Dr Knoll offers online consultations to our patients who live far away and are looking for an initial consult. An online consultation does not replace an in person consultation, since the assessment by Dr Knoll will be limited as she is unable to examine you, and not able to present to you previous examples of her surgical work. Although an online consultation can be very similar to an in person consultation for some cases, it may not be a good option for other requests. This is very often the case for any type of revisional surgery. Our office will advice you, if an online consultation can be considered as a valuable option in your specific case. In case your online consultation allows an adequate assessment, the office will provide you with information pertaining to surgery, post operative expectations, and the cost associated with your individualized surgery plan. You will also receive further information about any type of preoperative testing required and additional information about the procedure.
Though a virtual consultation starts the conversation and provides ample information, it does have it’s limitations and does not replace the need to be seen in person for a traditional consultation to finalize plans for a procedure.
An online consultation gives you the opportunity to discuss your concerns, and to ask questions. Consultation appointment fees apply to online as well.
We are happy to send you the required forms, and information on how to submit your photographs to us, to set up your virtual consultation with Dr Knoll.
