Short Scar Thigh Lift Modern Advanced Techniques in Frankfurt, Germany

Patients seeking a thigh lift with Dr Bianca Knoll in Frankfurt are unhappy with the appearance and contour of their medial thighs. Patients considering a thigh lift are often discouraged despite living a healthy, active lifestyle and working out, that the appearance of the medial upper thigh will only improve to a certain degree. Patients seeking a medial upper thigh lift dislike the stubborn fat deposits and loose skin in that area. The skin in this area is often very thin, with minimal elasticity, making in some patients a solely performed liposuction procedure ineffective. In patients with low skin elasticity liposuction will lead to additional loose skin in the medial thigh area. Performing a combination of liposuction and skin excision located in the natural crease of the upper inner thigh will correct this contour deformity. Traditional thigh lift procedures, are associated with longer scars, sometimes even running vertically down of the inner thigh, making it difficult to wear skirts or pants. A short-scar medial thigh lift is an ideal procedure for patients, who have a mild to moderate amount of fat and skin excess of the inner part of their thighs. Patients after massive weight loss will most likely need to undergo a traditional thigh lift.
Many patients that Dr. Bianca Knoll sees in her office for a thigh lift consultation do not have to undergo the traditional thigh lift procedure associated with a long scar along the inner thigh. Many patients are great candidates for a short-scar medial thigh lift procedure, an advanced, modern thigh lift surgery technique avoiding the scar along the inner thigh. The goal of a short-scar medial thigh lift procedure, combined with liposuction, is to achieve a well contoured thigh that is proportionate to your body. Dr Bianca Knoll is a board-certified plastic surgeon in Frankfurt / Germany who has extensive experience performing thigh lift and body contouring procedures by using modern and advanced surgical techniques.

What is a Short Scar Thigh Lift?

A short-scar medial thigh lift is a thigh lift procedure with a less visible scar placed in the natural crease of the medial upper thigh and is combined with liposuction. This combination allows in many cases to avoid a circumferential scar or a scar along the inner thigh. The short-scar medial thigh lift procedure is an advanced technique of thigh lift procedures allowing reshaping and contouring of the thighs with a less conspicuous scar. The best candidates for a short-scar medial thigh lift with liposuction are patients with a good to moderate skin elasticity and amounts of fatty tissue.

Am I a Candidate for a Thigh Lift?

If liposuction of the thigh will not be sufficient enough to correct the excess skin you are a candidate for a thigh lift. Successful liposuction contouring relies on good skin elasticity. Therefore liposuction only procedures are often an option for younger patients with minimal to no loose skin and mild to moderate amounts of fatty tissue.

Short Scar Medical Thigh Lift

The short-scar medial thigh lift is a great procedure for patients with moderate amounts of excess skin and fatty tissue who have still some good skin turgor (elasticity). This is often the case in patients who have undergone some weight loss, or being in their 40’s to 50’s undergoing some age related changes. A short-scar medial thigh lift is a very powerful procedure if combined with liposuction of the inner thighs and inner knee area.

Traditional Thigh Lift

A traditional thigh lift will remove severe skin excess of the thighs after massive weight loss. A traditional thigh lift can also be combined with liposuction as well to correct additional loose skin or fat in that area. The incision of a traditional thigh lift can go around your thighs, and also along the entire inner thigh. Some patients are not ideal candidates for one of these options. This will make them good candidates for a thigh lift technique that is in between, or an extended version of these surgical thigh lift techniques. What to Expect During a Thigh Lift?

Many advancements have been made in thigh lift procedures regarding efficiency, improved pain control, safety, lesser morbidity, and wound care. A thigh lift is usually performed under general anesthesia and takes several hours depending on your case. A short-scar medial thigh lift with liposuction is performed without using drains. In other types of thigh lift procedures JP-drains might be necessary. A short-scar medial thigh lift procedure can be performed safely in an ambulatory setting. Depending if the thigh lift is combined with other procedures, your general health, and your personal comfort, an overnight stay in the hospital might be preferred to monitor your recovery and to provide adequate pain control. Following your thigh lift procedure you will wear a garment for about 6 weeks supporting your wound healing process. After your thigh lift procedure you will have some swelling and bruising, which gradually subsides within the following weeks. During that time Dr Knoll and her team will see you regularly in her Frankfurt office to accompany you during the wound healing process. You will be limited in your physical activities during your immediate post-operative period to ensure adequate wound healing. Thigh Lift Cost

Given all the possible variations of a thigh lift procedure, it is quiet difficult to provide any estimated costs without having examined and talked to the patient. The costs of the surgery will vary depending on the complexity, length of the procedure and the details involved. Usually there are 3 different costs associated with a surgery; the surgeon’s fee, hospital fee, and anesthesia fee.During your office consultation with Dr. Bianca Knoll you will be thoroughly examined, allowing us to provide you with information pertaining to surgery, post-operative expectations, and the cost associated with your individualized surgery plan.
